Who are you? Ever think about that? 
“Fearfully and wonderfully made…”  (Psalm 139: 14)
That, in case you are wondering, applies to you. Yes, you.
Who says so?  God says so!
And if God says so, who are we to argue with Him?
You have searched me and you know me… (Psalm 139:1)
Who has searched you? Who knows you? Oh, you know the answer… 
No one, not your own parent, not your spouse, not your best friend, not even yourself, knows you better.
Your thoughts. Your words. Your comings. Your goings. Everything about you.  God knows it all.
He did, after all, create you.
But wait, it gets even better.
Not only are you fearfully and wonderfully made by God…
You are made in His image.
So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them  (Gen 1:27)
Stop and think about that.

As a male, as a female, you reflect who He is.
Can you even wrap your mind around that?
But wait… There’s more!
Not only are you fearfully and wonderfully made in His image…
You were created ON PURPOSE. FOR A PURPOSE.
And how do we know this?  Read on:
Everyone who is called by My name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made (Isaiah 43:7)
Formed by His hands.
Called by His name.
Created FOR HIS GLORY. That’s your purpose. To bring GLORY to the LIVING God; that is literally why you are here!
Can you believe you are THAT important to Him?
Well, it’s true.
Your life has purpose. And that purpose is bigger than you. Even if you think you are “not important”. Oh, you’re important, alright.
You get to play a part in HISTORY! (you know, His Story???)
But the most beautiful part is that the story is all about Him. Jesus invites us to into it, free from the pressure of making it all about us.
What great news!
And the best news of all?
You’re going to love this:
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness (Jeremiah 31:3)
That’s who you are… because that’s WHOSE you are!

If you’ve ever been on the receiving end of any correspondence from our dear directors, Alice and Cheri, these closing words should be familiar:

“Love for Life in Christ Eternally”

If you’ve met them, even briefly, you know they say NOTHING without intention! In fact, you might say that each word in this signature beautifully sums up what SonRays is all about. 

LOVE

It all starts here. Always.  In fact, the Bible even says so… “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 And that’s important, because the Bible also says that God is literally LOVE personified.  “God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them… we love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:16 He loves us so we can love others. That’s what we’re here to do, to love whoever He puts in our path. It’s that simple; and we couldn’t do what we do if  we were not first receivers of God’s great LOVE.

FOR LIFE

EVERYTHING we do is ABOUT LIFE, and FOR LIFE. Young LIFE. Mature LIFE. And EVERY LIFE in between. The call to love is also a call to uphold the sanctity and dignity of all LIFE at all ages and stages.  And so we do so by offering spiritual, physical and emotional support to parents, babies, toddlers, children, teens, grandparents… all the generations. Because they ALL matter. 

IN CHRIST

Where would we be without Jesus? How could we love, except that He first loved us?  And How did He love us? By offering HIS very LIFE as a sacrifice for our sins, and conquering death for us by rising from the grave! Jesus Christ, the living God, is the reason we are here. In Him we live and move and have our being. In Him ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.  And because of Him, we can’t help but want to show His grace poured out on us and share His truth that has set us free. 

ETERNALLY 

Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us that “God has set eternity in our hearts”.  What does that even mean?  More than just wanting to be around forever, God desires for us to be with Him forever. It’s what we are made for. Man’s chief purpose, after all (according to the Westminster Confession), is to glorify God, and enjoy Him forever. We fully agree!  This chief purpose fuels everything who we are, and everything we do: Mentoring. Caring. Teaching. Praying. Passing on resources. Providing a loving home. Everything. All for His glory.
